Following high school, he joined the Marine Corps, where he had the opportunity to travel extensively, including a seven-month deployment on ship. Over his nine-year career, he transitioned to recruiting, initially serving as a recruiter and later as a recruiter trainer, with his final assignment at the recruiting headquarters on the Watervliet Arsenal. Lead Carpenter
Mark G
Mark was hired at Zono as a Lead with 27 years of carpentry experience. He is experienced in all phases of building and home improvements. Fun fact: he spent his first years framing houses in the Hamptons!
He started in the field in 1998, right after serving years in the U.S. Army, 82nd Airborne Division. After serving, he learned he could only work for someone he respects. When he returned home, his company made sure the door was always open — and he gets that same feeling with Zono. “It feels cohesive, like we’re all working together toward a common goal.”

He is from Long Island, but moved up to Saratoga to get closer to the mountains. Mark spends most of his time hiking, camping, ice climbing, and rock climbing. He loves the outdoors!
